Spiritual Wisdom that Is Still Relevant Today

The Set of the Sail: Spiritual Guidance for the Christian Life by A. W. Tozer is one of several books that have compilations of his editorials. Just as the direction of a ship depends on the set of the sail, our lives depend on if we are guided by God or not.

One of his editorials is about prayer. He stresses the importance of being quiet and listening for God’s voice. Another is about Advent, Jesus, though He is God, coming to live in a human body and die for the sins of the whole world. Tozer states seven facts that the Advent established.

A. W. Tozer was a pastor and theologian who wrote more than forty books. He had deep spiritual wisdom. Tozer was born in 1987, and God took him home in 1963. His words are as relevant today as they were years ago.
