Seeing the Sun behind the Clouds: A Weatherman’s Faith through the Storms of Life

by Lacy Bernett Padgett and Betty Hendricks Padgett

“It would just be routine bypass surgery. The surgeon would go in, bypass my husband’s clogged arteries, and everything would be fine again.”

But nothing about his hospital stay turned out to be routine. Due to a medical complication, this man, who was always helping others, would face his greatest challenge.

Growing up in rural Mississippi, Bernett Padgett learned how to make and fix things. His favorite pastime was fishing, though he always had to be on the alert for water moccasins.

At the age of seventy, he had a reaction to heparin, which eventually resulted in both of his legs having to be amputated below the knees. Bernett’s faith in God sustained him as he adjusted to his new way of life.

If you like inspirational stories and down-to-earth biographies, then you will love this endearing memoir of a man who relied on God to see him through the storms of life. Written by Bernett and lovingly finished by his wife, Betty, Seeing the Sun behind the Clouds will show you how God’s plan for your life is custom-made especially for you.
